Altered Composition Book Blog Hop!

  Happy Friday everyone,

Welcome to the Altered Composition Book Blog Hop! If you were visiting me and would like to participate in the hop you may start with Super JOY!!! If you have arrived from talented Martha, then your in the right spot!

Now onto my project, this was my first time doing an altered composition book, so my first one bummed out and this is my second attempt...lol! Before I get started, I can't go any further without giving my blogging buddy Gloria of Girlia's Cards props! She was recently in a blog hop and I happened to see her ribbon technique that I had forgotten about so thought I would give it a try! Thanks for the inspiration Gloria! The cartridges I used for my book are Plantin Schoolbook, Storybook and Forever Young.
The flower is from the Forever Young cart and it is cut at 3.90, I used Joy's All Around Sentiment Stamps and add faux stitching!

The mats are from the Storybook cart and they are cut at 7.75 and 8.57. The ribbon is resting on the border that I cut from Plantin Schoolbook cart and it's cut at 9.75. Now of course since I just love making cards, I just couldn't resist a matching set.

I decided to do an A2 size card with several mats and added the same flower from Forever Young cut at 2.5 I also used Joy's Everyday Occasions Stamps. I just couldn't forget to add the 2 buttons ( that's for you Adrian of By Adrian 4 U).

I hope you have enjoyed my creations and this inspires you to alter a project!!!

Now it's time for you to hop along to another one of my favorite crafters, fabulous Tammy!

Back to School Blog Hop!!!

Hi everyone, welcome to Back to School Blog Hop!

If you came from  talented Amanda (she is just wonderful) then your in the right spot. If you were stopping by to take a gander and would like to join in on the hop you may start with our lovely host Jovan!  She has a fun challenge for you today as well! I also just want to thank Jovan for inviting me to join in with these wonderful  designers. Now you are sure to enjoy this walk to all of the Back to School creations!

For my project I created this backpack to hold sticky notes for that wonderful teacher in your child's life!  I used the back pack from Doodle Charms cartridge and it's cut at 7.22 inches x4 two different colors for each panel. One will be the inside panel or you may use double sided paper. I then measured the length and width of the tablets and added an extra half inch to paper for gluing on each side, centered and added back panel.

The crayons are from Simply Charmed, I used the contour feature to hide the face, and the inner card with the crayons are cut at 3.0, however I had to make the outer packaging layer a little bigger to create the pull out feature.  I added my sentiment on each crayon and the sentiments are from Joy's life Father and Son and Holiday Occasions stamp sets, she also has a new Halloween Pun stamp set coming out, make sure you get your pre-order in!

I just loved when my children were young, we would get our grade school  list and off shopping we would go. Now that my daughter is in college, the list is more expensive, never the less still fun, but when she leaves, I still have a little emptiness not empty nest, believe me when I say emptiness, I miss her so much even though she is just up the street and around the corner...lol. She stays on campus so she not at home!!

Well I hope you have enjoyed my project, now it's time for you to skip on over to fabulous Theresa.

Now it's time for some blog candy!!!!  It's not just a hop for me, it's also a Celebration, today is my Birthday!!! So I will be giving away 2 pieces of candy, the first will be for the hop,  It is the Fruit and Tag Die cuts!

The second will be for my Birthday and it's  the Mickey Mouse Celebration Embossing folder!!
You don't have to be a follower, but if you like what you see, please follow me! Make sure you leave me a way to contact you!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!

M.A.G. Challenge by the Page #39

Hi everyone,

Welcome to Mag Challenge by the Page #39, this week we are using Tags Bags Boxes and More page 89, remember we can only use the images on this page!

I am using the window tag card and EAD Vellum Stickers thought this was the perfect challenge to use these stickers. The window tag and over lay are cut at 5.44. Since the stickers were vellum I used white card stock behind them. The New Beginnings sticker hides the word "Smile".

I hope you have enjoyed my creation, can't wait to see yours and you may enter it here!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed day!
