Hi everyone, welcome to Create a Book Blog Hop!!!

Read Across America Day , I am so thrilled to participate in this hop with such talented ladies! Hopefully this will inspire you to get out those books and read or create one!
Now onto my book, it measures 5.00 x 9.00. I created it with my daughter in mind. She writes such lovely poems! (Sorry the writing isn't too visible, it's purposely done.) I put in several poems with room for more!!! The front cover is created using A Child's Year cart. The child reader is cut at 5.00, the monogrammed letters are at 1.22 and the smaller shadow is cut at 1.18 (created with gypsy) I think it turned out beautiful considering, I changed my mind from the recipe book I had already started. This took me just about 2 hours to create...maybe a little less.

What a brilliant idea Melissa! I have a daughter who loves to write and another daughter and son who are artists. I think I might scraplift this idea and make them each one :) I don't have that cart though - since mine are teens and I have already scrapped their younger years I didn't think I needed it, but lately I am changing my mind - that specific cut in itself would make the whole cart worthwhile :) I am already a follower of your lovely blog and loving every inch!

Such a wonderful idea! I think I will start a journal for my husband's poetry. He says he will look for a publisher in a few years. This would put all of his poetry in the same place for that occasion.
